Ceolacanth

Gary and I started this project two years ago. Amazingly Gary and I discovered that we share the same taste in early model boats, especially those made by Radiguet, and one boat in particular, dated 1880-90. This model is in the musée national de la Marine, in Paris. Built in 1880, although perhaps not by Radiguet, it shares many similarities, and looks to me to be based on the designs of Eugene Farcy (1830-1910) which were used in the battle of Yu Oc.

The original in the musée national de la Marine, Paris.

It is probably an experimental boat, designed just as the armoured ram bowed cannon boats were being superseded by the lighter and faster torpedo boats - this has both ram bow and torpedo tubes.

Gary is an artist, and I can't thank him enough for building this to such an amazingly high standard. Every part is custom made, and the search light works.
Now it's my turn to do some work installing a steam plant and RC gear.

thank you KBIO.

I think she will have a Hemmens MaxII plant, but sometimes i also think a WADA turbine would be fun.
